Did you know that UCHS has a Student Wellness Education and Resources Committee? The SWEAR Committee members are on a mission to empower and connect youth advocates for student wellness by supporting mental health campaigns at every SDUSD high school, incorporating mental health education into curriculum, and increasing access to resources.
They aim to bridge the gap between schools in an effort to create a more standardized system of addressing mental health issues districtwide. The committee currently consists of 32 student representatives from 15 SDUSD high schools, and is Co-Founded and Co-Chaired by UCHS senior Hannah Griswold.
This week is the UCHS SWEAR Committee is hosting Mental Health Spirit Week!
The days are as follows:
Meditation Monday: Listen to meditation music
Self Love Tuesday: Write 3 things you love about yourself
Wear Green Wednesday: Wear green, it's the Mental Health Awareness Color
Spread the Love Thursday: Write 3 things you love about others
Wellness is an important part of the UCHS Culture. You can find more resources on Mental Health Awareness and ways you can promote wellness with our Wellness Committee resources.
