"Hi! My name is Coach Paul Lawrence. I was born and raised in Tulare, CA, where I graduated from Tulare Union High School. I am a Retired Army Veteran and have been coaching football for over 18 years. Early in my coaching career, I was a co-founder of Point Loma Youth Football. My most recent coaching endeavors include over a decade of coaching at Point Loma High School where I held multiple coaching duties, most notably the Varsity Offensive Coordinator. In addition to my experience coaching at the high school level, I have also spent the previous year coaching collegiately at San Diego Mesa College serving as an Assistant Coach.
Outside of coaching, I am dedicated to the growth and development of all students. This is evident in my roles as a Special Education Technician in the San Diego Unified School District and as an Athletic Retention Technician in the San Diego Community College District.
I’m an accomplished and energetic football coach with a strong history of leadership and achievement, both on the field and in the classroom. I am a motivated leader dedicated to promoting positive interactions with and among the student athletes, the school, and the community. I can't wait to get started at University City High School"
