School Update (01-06-2021)
Good evening Centurions,
I need to share we will have a School Site Governance Team meeting on Monday, January 11, 2021, at 2:00 pm. We will cover two topics and vote on the second topic. The vote will be to determine whether to move the Class of 2021 graduation on Tuesday, June 15th, to a 7pm event versus a 2pm start. Senior leaders for the Class of 2021 and many other parents and students agreed that we should consider this option as the whether at 2 pm is very hot. The Class of 2021 wants to hold a party after the event in the stadium. The party would include music/band/DJ and drink and treats. This is assuming we can hold an in-person graduation by this time in June. With a later start, the annual grad nite party would have to be moved back to a later start time. If you have a vested interest in the Class of 2021, please let your SSGT stakeholder representatives know one way or another how you feel about the possibility of making this change in start time. SSGT members and their email address can be found on the website. Parents and students can also attend the meeting by sending me an email requesting the zoom address.
As a last reminder, we ask all Class of 2022 students take the survey below if they intend on taking the free PSAT on Tuesday, January 26th, at school. It is scheduled from 8am to 12 pm following all the necessary health protocols. Deadline to let us know is this Friday, January 8, 2021.

Last, a reminder for junior parents, we have a meeting planned by our counselors for Thursday night, January 7, at 5:30 pm, to answer questions about student schedules for the 2021-2022 academic year.
