End of Year School Update (12-18-2020)
Happy Friday Centurions,
I wanted to send out a final note, as we will be closed for winter break the next two weeks (December 19, 2020 through January 3, 2021). We will resume school on Monday, January 4, 2021.
We know it has been a very challenging year for us all. It has not been easy and I wanted to express my deepest appreciation to our front line essential workers who have risked their own personal safety on behalf of us all. I know we have many parents who have stepped up to this calling, even some students. We can’t thank you enough for your sacrifice. Additionally, I want to thank our families for adjusting to the new way we do school. It has not been an easy adjustment and we can’t wait to eventually get back together with our students.
I also want to thank our UCHS staff who have equally adjusted their own personal schedules and have taken on their own new learning to meet the needs of our students. As my last year as principal, I can’t express how proud I am to be an educator and to personally witness the heroics taking place in our schools and in our community. It is something we will never forget.
Because the school (virtually and in-person) will be closed over the next two weeks, please know that UCHS staff will not be checking their emails. If you are experiencing an emergency, or you’re concerned about someone hurting themselves, please dial 911 immediately.
