UCHS PTSA and Information About Virtual Back-to-School Night (9-15-2020)
Good evening Centurion parents. I wanted to let you know about a few meetings coming up. On Thursday, September 17th,
at 5:30 pm, we will hold a short School Site Council meeting. Please email me at [email protected] if you want the zoom ID to join the meeting. We will be approving the school’s Authorization of a School-wide Program (SWP). The school receives Title I dollars and the SWP is to serve all student and support student learning at UCHS.
All parents are encouraged to attend. We will have Spanish translation for this meeting. When Spanish speaking parents join the meeting, a screen will pop up asking if they want Spanish. If this option is selected, the sound will be tracked over to staff member Javier Gonzalez who will be providing Spanish interpretation. At roughly 6:30 pm, the PTSA will allow me a chance to provide a brief update about our school start and how we are moving forward with online learning and preparing for in-school operations when given the authorization to do so. Please join these two meetings as they help keep parents informed and engaged.
Last, please reserve next Thursday night, September 23rd, as we will hold our virtual Back-to-School Night for our parents. A schedule will be forthcoming, but parents will get to hear from the school, their student’s teachers and have an opportunity to ask a few questions. Please know time will be limited and parents will not be allowed to ask questions about their student, but can ask questions that would pertain to all students in a class. So again, please set aside Thursday night, September 23rd, for our virtual Back-to-School Night.
