Second Day of School Information (08-31-2020)
UCHS Students and Parents,
Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1st, will be our second day of school. We hope everyone was able to get on and access their first period teacher today. Feedback from staff is that some students felt shy about sharing their screen face. This is ok for now, but please feel safe to show each other our faces so that all can get to know one another. Remember, students will be meeting with their period two teachers tomorrow at 9:45 am.
Tomorrow morning, from 8am to 9am, we will be working with our community college students who have not come by to get their textbooks or needs a different one. Also tomorrow morning, we will work with students that still need a computer device to access their teachers. Please know we only have four left to check out, but we are to receive in another 940 or so in a week or two. Please let me know if you still do not have access to one and we can see if we can borrow one from another school.
We will again have a textbook pick up and exchange on Thursday, September 3rd, from 7:30 am to 9:00 am and from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. We will do the same for Friday, September 4th at the same times. The location will be at the 400 hallway facing the student parking lot. It will not be a drive through, but a park and walk-up process- person-by-person. Again, please expect lines as staff support will be limited. We have waited to have another textbook day for Thursday and Friday so students could visually see from their teachers the books they need.
At this time students should be working on their portfolios and district created activities.
